Welcome to our TTMIK Community Guidelines page!  Let’s work together to create a safe and inclusive space for everyone.

1. Channel Guide 




General Rules for all channels
  • Language:
    You can freely use Korean and/or English in the comments of any channel threads.
    There are no restrictions on these two languages anywhere in our community.
  • Code of Conduct: Please adhere to the following Code of Conduct.

    • Staff Use Only
    • Community members are welcome to comment on and react to posts. 

 

  • Daily Check-In
    • Language: English (and Korean)
    • Recommended Level: All Levels
    • Post/Thread Types
      • Anything related to what you're doing today, can be about Korean study or not.  
  • General
    • Language: English (and Korean)
    • Recommended Level: All Levels
    • Post/Thread Types
      • Share anything that doesn’t fit in "Study Hall" or "Small Talk in Korean."
      • Advanced users are free to use English when posting here.
      • Questions about Korea or the Korean language should be posted in the "Korean Q&A" channel. 

 

  • Study Hall
    • Language: English (and Korean)
    • Recommended Level: All Levels
    • Post/Thread Types
      • Share your Korean learning journey, including progress, plans, thoughts, feelings, or stories. Consider adding visual material to make your posts more engaging and easier for beginners and intermediate learners to understand.
      • Advanced users are welcome to use English when posting here.
      • For questions about the Korean language, please use the "Korean Q&A" channel.

  • Small Talk in Korean
    • Language: Korean (and English)
    • Recommended Level: Beginner, Intermediate (and Advanced)
    • Post/Thread Types:
      • Share simple questions that encourage responses in Korean. Yes/No questions are also welcome. Let’s practice asking and answering in Korean together!
      • For questions about the Korean language, please use the "Korean Q&A" channel.
       
  • Korean Q&A
    • Language: English (and Korean)
    • Recommended Level: All Levels
    • Post/Thread Types:
      • Ask questions about Korean language or culture. Don’t hesitate to share your knowledge and help others by answering their questions!

  • Only in Korean (Advanced)
    • Language: Korean
    • Recommended Level: Advanced
    • Post/Thread Types:
      • Write posts entirely in Korean. Content length and vocabulary level can serve as informal guidelines for this channel.
      • If you have questions about Korean, please use the "Korean Q&A" channel.

2. Code of Conduct

 

  • Be Respectful:
    • Treat everyone kindly and politely.
    • No discrimination, harassment, or hateful behavior.
  • Stay On-Topic:
    • Keep discussions relevant to the community.
    • Avoid spamming, self-promotion, or off-topic content.
  • Maintain Privacy:
    • Don't share personal information without permission.
    • Respect the privacy of private messages and discussions.
  • Use Proper Language:
    • Don't use offensive or inappropriate language.
  • Follow the Rules:
    • Stick to the community's rules.
    • Breaking the rules may lead to a warning, suspension, or the banning of your account.
  • Protect Intellectual Property:
    • Don't share or use copyrighted material without permission.
    • Respect others' intellectual property.
  • Participate and Enjoy:
    • Be active and contribute positively.
    • Be active and contribute positively. Help others enjoy being part of the community!

3. Report & Review
 

How to Report Code of Conduct Violations
  1. Contact the TTMIK Admin team by sending a direct message to any member of the team.
  2. Capture and share screenshots to ensure an accurate response and understanding of the issue.

Review and Action
  1. The team will review the case based on our internal guidelines.
  2. Depending on the severity, restrictions on community activity may be applied to the offender.
